Social Responsibility
South Asia Group's social responsibility is to actively fulfill corporate social responsibility, benefit society and create value. This is also reflected in South Asia Group's core values of "bravely taking responsibility and operating in good faith". As an outstanding corporate citizen, South Asia Group is committed to the development of Hong Kong's social welfare undertakings and creating value for the society through technology business combination, innovation, local operation, talent development and corporate social responsibility activities.

For many years, South Asia Group proactively makes donations for school building and disaster relief, or support the initiatives on environmental protection and poverty alleviation, ensuring the company fully implements its corporate social responsibility by serving the community for good causes and promote the message of compassion and love.

The Group maintains high integrity in business and actively performs our social responsibility. Every year, a proportion of profits is designated to charitable donations. Given that the scope of donations varies from kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, universities to hospitals, gymnasiums and nursing homes, the donation projects range from sponsorships on school premises, library or laboratory constructions to various funding for education, poverty or charity works, providing donated items such as relief supplies and magnificent donations. To date, the contributions to the society, comprising of the personal donations of the management, has nearly reached 500 million dollars.

We take pride to our employees for their active participation to the fundraising activities in our community, for instance, they donated or organized fundraising activities for Project Hope, Provincial Sports Games, Yangtze River Floods Stricken Areas, “Tribute to Veterans”, Quanzhou Charity Federation, Pacific Tsunami Stricken Areas and Sichuan Earthquake Stricken Areas, or assisted the counterparts in difficulties.

We are delighted that our CSR performance are highly recognized by the awards honored by the Government departments, to mention a few, “Caring Enterprise in China”, “Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise”, “Contributor of Spring Buds Project” etc. In addition, Mr LAM Shu Chit, GBS, Chairman, was awarded with “China Glory Society Medal” by China Glory Society, “The Most Caring Donor Award” by Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC, “Outstanding Philanthropist” by China Charity Federation, “Outstanding Entrepreneur in Fujian” by Fujian Provincial Government, and the “Gold Bauhinia Star” by the Government of the HKSAR in 2015.
